Our mission is to assist children and youth attaining leadership skills and vocational excellence; to aid handicapped persons to enjoy happy, useful lives; and to otherwise act to promote the general welfare of the community and the residents of Lincoln, NE. The Foundation works toward those purposes through the expending of funds directly or by furnishing of funds to other organizations for charitable and educational purposes supporting children and youth.
Most recently, the Foundation has strengthen the Scholarship program through endowed funds that will provide scholarships long into the future. Education beyond high school has become essential in our society, whether the student is learning a skill or participating in an academic program. Continuing our scholarship program is critical so the next generation of skilled and capable professionals are able to serve our community and the world.
Lincoln Cornhusker Kiwanis Foundation, Inc., is a charitable corporation organized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation was established February 18, 2016. Contributions made to the Foundation may be deductible for income tax purposes.
The Foundation accepts donations which are tax free to donors and the principal amount of the gift is held permanently allowing only the interest earnings to be used to fund projects.
